FAQs

Common patient questions

How do I book my first appointment?
Click “Book appointment” anywhere on this site, or call our general line at [+233 XX XXX XXXX]. New patients should plan for a 45-minute first visit so we can build a complete record. You can also send a WhatsApp message describing what you need, and our care team will route you within one business day.
Do you accept NHIS or my private insurance?
We are an NHIS-accredited provider and work with major private insurers in Ghana including [Acacia, Glico, Nationwide, etc.]. Bring your insurance card to your first visit, or check the Insurance & billing page for the current list and what each plan covers.
What should I bring to my first visit?
A valid ID, your insurance card (if applicable), a list of any medications you are currently taking (including supplements), and any recent test results or referral letters. If you have a regular doctor elsewhere, knowing their name helps us request prior records.
How do I access my medical records?
Through the patient portal — sign up with the email or phone number on your file, and you will see visit summaries, lab results, and prescriptions. Paper copies are available on request from reception within 3 working days.
What if I need care after hours?
Our nurse line is open until 9pm on weekdays — call the general number and follow the prompts. For genuine emergencies (chest pain, severe bleeding, difficulty breathing, signs of stroke), go to the nearest emergency department or call [emergency number] immediately. See our Urgent Care page for guidance on what counts as an emergency.
How do prescription refills work?
Submit a refill request through the patient portal or call us. We aim to process routine refills within one business day. Controlled medications and new prescriptions require a brief consultation (video is fine for most). Please request refills at least 3 days before you run out.
Can I see my child\’s records?
Yes — parents and legal guardians can be linked to a child\’s portal account until the child turns 16. After that, the young person gets their own login and parents need explicit consent to see records.
Is telehealth right for me?
Video visits work well for follow-ups, prescription renewals, mental health appointments, mild skin issues with clear photos, and many chronic care check-ins. Anything that needs a physical exam, blood work, or an in-person assessment should be booked at a clinic. When in doubt, book a phone triage and we will tell you.
